Kindermusik has been inside Plaza Community Church of the Nazarene for 19 years! Melissa Brown is proud to continue the Kindermusik tradition in the Russell area, along with teachers Karen Brown and Katherine Adkins. In every Kindermusik class, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Hi! My name is April Keelin. | have been in love with music since I was a little girl. At 7 years old, I started piano lessons, and when I was in 5th grade, I started playing the flute. L had continued those all through college. In high school, I became really interested in vocal music. ! was in many choirs, and decided to also take vocal lessons. In college, I was a vocal music education major with a piano minor and graduated in 1993. I started teaching music in the public school system in the fall of 1995. I went on to get my Masters degree in Music Education. in 1999. After many years, I decided to continue my education and get my National Boards in Early Childhood Music in 2020. Other endeavors include leading worship in Grayson, Kentucky; piano, flute and keyboard player at a church in Ashland, KY, giving piano lessons; and teaching Kindermusik for a couple of years in the Ashland, KY area before getting my National Boards Music is my passion and has been my life's work. My other passion is my family. I have been married to Todd for almost 19 years. I have 3 children: Morgan, Kylie and Caleb (Savannah). And now, have a beautiful granddaughter, Chandler, who just turned one. Besides music, they are my world.
